IDENTITY + FAMILY
I am a mother of two, a wife, and a sister to two brothers. Over the years, these roles have shaped how I show up in the world, grounding me in care, responsibility, and perspective.
I’m an avid reader, I love to cook, and I enjoy a good dance party. Most mornings you’ll find me singing in the shower. Consistent workouts and meditation have changed my life in more ways than I can count, helping me stay present, resilient, and balanced.
LIFE + TRAVEL + CULTURE
Travel is one of my greatest passions. I immerse myself fully in the culture of every place I visit, especially through food, conversation and everyday life. I’m always eager to try new cuisines, particularly if it’s spicy.
I’ve lived in India, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and Italy and my travels have taken me across much of the world, including Myanmar, Thailand, Spain, Cambodia, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Ireland, Portugal, the Netherlands, Finland and the UK. My cultural competency comes from lived experience, curiosity, and deep respect for difference.
ADVOCACY + SERVICE
Advocacy is deeply personal to me. I am a committed ally to the LGBTQ+ community and have spent years working closely within it, including leading the Phluid Phoundation and raising funds for grassroots organizations doing critical work on the ground. I am also a CASA volunteer, advocating for my foster youth to be heard, supported and protected within a complex, deeply flawed system.
In addition, I support Drishti for Humanity through their biannual fundraising events, which provide resources ranging from school textbooks to cancer care in Tuscaloosa. I am also a financial supporter of My Sister’s Place, a local women’s shelter and Heifer International, an organization focused on long-term economic stability through sustainable agriculture and livestock programs.
ENTREPRENEURIAL HEART
I am an entrepreneur at heart. My work has been shaped by building from the ground up, launching and scaling my own ventures while helping others grow theirs. From independent boutiques and consumer brands to consulting and advisory platforms, these experiences have given me a deep appreciation for what it takes to move from idea to execution and from early momentum to sustainable growth, while staying true to values and vision.
